Asia’s Largest Play-2-Earn Crypto Expo to Kick Off in Bangkok

Bacon Time partners with Red Bull to boost their esports performance and expand their sponsor lineup, marking another significant activation for Ampverse's esports brand.

Thai esports organisation Bacon Time has announced a partnership with energy drink company Red Bull for at least one year.

According to a release, Red Bull will become an official energy drink partner of Bacon Time and will provide drinks for its pro players, streamers and brand ambassadors.

Bacon Time is an esports brand owned by Ampverse, a gaming and esports company that owns four esports teams in Southeast Asia. Aside from Bacon Time, Ampverse is also the owner of SBTC Esports (Vietnam), 7SEa (India) and Made in Thailand. Red Bull joins a partnership roster that includes KFC, Razer, Foodpanda and Manly.

Bacon Time is perhaps most well-known for its Arena of Valor roster. The team placed fourth at the Arena of Valor International Championship in 2022 and won the RoV Pro League 2022 Summer earlier this year. Bacon Time also competes in PUBG Mobile and Free Fire.

The partnership is one of the first activations following an agreement between Bacon Time’s owners Ampverse and agency SPORTFIVE. The two companies signed a deal in July 2022. Prior to that, the duo worked together in 2021 to bring Foodpanda onboard as an official partner for Bacon Time.

Red Bull has also been relatively busy in the world of esports throughout 2022, both with partnerships and events. The company announced an Age of Empires tournament, renewed its ties to the LEC and partnered with Riot Games for the VALORANT Champions Tour.

Tine Hanse, Head of Sponsorship at Ampverse, commented: “Red Bull is a world-class brand and we’re excited to have them onboard with Bacon Time. They share many characteristics and personalities of a brand that we stand for – young, energetic, ambitious, creative, and not afraid to challenge the limits.”
